Stories of Caring - “Firehouse Mom”
(TV Spot)
As part of Hallmark’s #CareEnough campaign, several documentary-style TV spots were created to highlight real-life examples of everyday people going above and beyond to make the world a more caring place.
For this spot, Hallmark’s video production team and I traveled to Purcell, Oklahoma to interview Kim, an administrative assistant at the fire station who goes the extra mile to care for the fireman that work there. My role was to create a storyline based on what we initially knew about this “Firehouse Mom,” and then craft interview questions to help tell that story.
The spot was later featured on the Association of National Advertisers #SeeHer website as part of their #SeeHer campaign, whose aim is to eliminate gender bias in media so women and girls can see themselves accurately reflected in content.
